The entire movie revolves around the concept of sex education and how & why it should be in schools for children. Over the years, in a country like India where girls and boys have faced numerous incidents while having minimal knowledge of sex education. In the movie, a teenage boy took Viagra in an unhealthy manner and ended up in the hospital. The doctor talked to Pankaj Tripathi (the father of the son in the movie) and told him how he has no knowledge about sex education and why it is essential for him to know. Small girls have been victims to rape in India and if they knew the difference between good touch and bad touch, they could have shouted and told their parents when it first started.
In the first half of the movie, the entire society was against the main character of the film but with the entry of Lord Shiva everything started making sense and Pankaj Tripathi fought for his son in the role of the father. After a lot of struggle and determination, in the end, it was a happy ending with a lesson that sex education should be necessary in schools and children should not learn it from OTT platforms. The budget for the movie is Rs.150 crores.
Why Omg 2 was “A” rated in India?
CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) rated this movie as an “Adult” in India since according to them, the movie contains some sexual content. The whole point of this movie was to teach sex education to teenagers and the irony, only adults could watch this movie. Akshay Kumar told in a theatre once that this adult movie is made for teenagers to watch so that they could learn something from it.
